Henry Rollins - 50 DVD
The 50 DVD has made its arrival to our site after being sold on tour only for most of this year. The DVD is a live performance of me at the National Geographic Theater in Washington DC on February 13th, 2011, when I turned fifty. Ian MacKaye introduces me and I take it from there. It was a good night in a good theater with a fantastic audience. One of the parts I like about it is that we did some non performance footage of me going back to some of my old haunts in DC like the classic venue Madams Organ as well as a tour through my old job that I left in 1981. We are very happy to be able to bring this to all of you who were not able to go to the tour and pick it up there. -- Henry

Henry Rollins - Before the Chop: LA Weekly Articles 2011 - 2012 (Signed)
Before the Chop compiles the first one hundred pieces I wrote for the Weekly and also includes the feature interview I did with Nick Cave when Grinderman II came out. For reasons of space, the Weekly must often slightly truncate the pieces and also sees fit to change the name of the piece. So, what you read there isn’t always what I sent them. This is one of the reasons I wanted to put this book out. Also, knowing there are a lot of people out there without the time to go to some website and read something every week, I thought it would be a good idea to have the articles all in one place. I hope you enjoy the book and thank you. - Henry

Rollins Band - Weighting
When we recorded songs for what became our album Weight, we were set up in the meeting room of a ski-lodge and played at all hours. We ended up with quite a bit of music. Fall Guy, I See Through and Right Here Too Much were songs that ended up as movie soundtrack cuts and b-sides. We asked New York sax heavyweight Charles Gayle to fly out and join us for some jams. He did and we rolled tape for a couple of nights. What a great time, what a great guy. The results have not been released until now. I included some live tracks from the Weight tour to finish. Hope you dig it. We thank you. -- Henry Rollins

Rollins Band - End of Silence Demos Orange/Yellow Vinyl
In February of 1991, my bandmates and I sought to the demo songs we had been working on for several months. We went in, played all the songs we had with the arrangements and lyrics such as they were at the time, put a few over dubs on, mixed it to a cassette and were done with it. In October of that year, we would record what became the actual End Of Silence album. Many years later, I contacted my engineer pal Cliff Norrell to see if he would give the tapes a more considered mix, thinking that it would perhaps be a good release of unheard music. We mixed the songs and they sounded pretty damn good. We released the tracks on CD and were done with the project. Several months ago, I got to thinking that perhaps some people would appreciate a vinyl version of these songs. The tapes had been in storage and well kept. I brought them to Oasis Mastering in Burbank, California to give them a listen and to see if it would be a legitimate endeavor. We listened down to the tapes and again, they sounded good and so we went forth and mastered all the tracks. After listening to these songs again after all these years, it reminded me of how good that line up was and how lean and mean the demos sounded. I came to the conclusion that I preferred the demos to the actual album. Hell, we should have just released the demos and saved everyone a bunch of time and trouble.
