Black Coffee Blues blew me away. It's a primal self-reflection that turns Rollins in on himself over and over. Though I was slightly horrified by the depths to which he tears his own soul, I couldn't stop listening as I recalled similar thoughts and feelings of my own. His descriptions of places, people, and emotion is simply too vivid to turn away from. Whatever you think of Rollins, this one will twist you in on yourself, hold up a mirror, and hopefully, wrench open your mind.

Love this CD set. It was wonderful to hear the commentary especially Selby. This CD made me wish I were there. KEEP IT UP HENRY !!! As I was listening I felt like I was there. I could hear the sounds and see the places !!! This CD made me want to visit those places. AWESOME!!
